Step inside over a century of DeQuincy history. Built in 1924 by the Perkins Brothers -- one of DeQuincy's most prominent founding merchant families -- this remarkable downtown building still bears their name in raised brick letters on its original facade. The name ''Perkins Bros'' and the year ''1924'' are permanently embedded in the building itself, a testament to its authenticity and provenance. It is located in the heart of downtown DeQuincy on 4th Street (Hwy. 12), directly adjacent to the DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce. Originally constructed as a dual-purpose commercial building -- a general store on one side and a meat market on the other -- the approximately 2,100 square foot space retains all the original character that makes it genuinely irreplaceable.
