Charm and serenity await in this circa 1847 home which was originally built as a gentleman's horse farm. Original cooking hearth, including beehive oven and copper water kettle, are in working condition. The brick farmhouse and clapboard ell is surrounded by agriculturally protected land. With many updates over the last five years, this home is looking for an antique enthusiast to add the finishing touches to make this house a home again. Recent upgrades include a new well, new windows and exterior doors, brick repointing and sealing, high efficiency heat and hot water systems, and a new septic system! Rebuilt in the 1980s as documented in a photo display, the barn needs some additional updating and could once again be used for boarding horses or for other outdoor projects and/or storage. The two-car garage with electric opener needs new back windows to secure the building. Welcome to Barre, New England's hidden treasure, and welcome home to Belledune Farm.
